Jeerakasala Rice – 1 cup
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) – 1 tsp or as reqd
Coconut(grated) – 1/2 cup
Garlic pod – 1 no (optional)
Salt – As reqd
Water – As reqd
Preparation Method of Jeeraka Kanji

1)Grind together jeerakam, coconut and garlic with a little water. Keep aside.
2)In a pressure cooker, add washed Jeerakasala rice, ground jeerakam and coconut paste.
3)Pour water as required and salt into it.
4)Cook for 5 minutes.
:- Do not let the pressure cooker to whistle.
5)Keep out of flame for another 5 minutes.
6)Mix well before use.
:- Serve hot.
