In a trip to Wayanad you cannot access direct flight  to Wayanad.  Because ther is no Airport in Wayanad. But  travel by airways is not hindered  . The nearest airprt to get into Wayanad is situated in  Karippur , Kozhikode   district.  It is  at a distance of merely 100 Kms from the city center of Wayanad.  Karipur is connected to many cities in India including Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.  Taxi Services are available from the airport to Wayanad costing about Rs 2000.  T here are also flights connecting to international destinations like Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Kuwait, etc. If you are unable to spot the flight of your choice from the given airport then you have an option of moving to Kochi’s International airport which is at a distance of about 300 Kms from the city. Kochi airport is having more air services compared to Kozhikode.
