The weather  is one of the most attracting feature of Wayanad for tourists.   The Goddess of nature blessed Wayanad with her misty hands. You can feel that heavenly touch while entering into Wayanad Ghats. The weather is the main reason for the flourished growth of thousands of medicated plants and spices in Wayanad.   The western Ghats have playing a major role to  maintain such weather. ‘Njattuvela’ and the rim jim rains of Wayanad is one of the glorious sights which cannot be seen in any other state of Kerala.  Because of this type of raining, Wayanad is flourished with the production of pepper. ‘Wayanadan pepper is one o the special item of pepper which is dignified from other sets of pepper from all over the world. Wayanadan pepper was the main attraction to Vascoda Gama to come and trade in Wayanad. There is a famous saying by Samoothiri about taking the pepper from Kerala by Vadscoa Gama is that  “  Gama can take the pepper alone, he can’t take the ‘Wayanadan Njattuvela’ with him “. That saying itself shows  the importance of ‘ Wayanadan Njattuvela ‘.
Followed by the rain winter comes from the moisturized mountains, valleys and from  freezing streams.  It was believed that the winter makes the man lacy; the winter in Wayanad is the starting of pepper and coffee harvesting. Because , for drying coffee the rises of moisturized son is a necessary.
The winter is followed by summer, which is the busiest season in Wayanad. The people of other places, who suffer from the hottest weather of valleys, come over here to escape from the hottest weather. Thus it is seen that unlike other tourist centers, all seasons in Wayanad is ideal to one or other aspects.
